You can set up rules for the number or order of the phones that will ring when a number is called, or define special features for some communication purposes like voice mail, etc. • PSTN connection You can also make connection towards the traditional wired and mobile communication network (PSTN) by using a simple adapter that is connected to the PBX. In this case you will be able to call any PSTN numbers from a VoIP phone and vice versa. • LAN You can create an effective company communication network by installing a PBX system on your local area network. This will make your workers' communication easier and free. I have downloaded the Independentsoft trial and am studying it. It seems to be more than I need as I do not need to build a SIP server but merely a SIP UAC (Client). Since SIP is a protocol much like HTTP, FTP. I was hoping that Microsoft included a SIP library in their distribution. Some communications seem to imply that this is indeed included however I cannot locate it on my system. I am also looking for some sample code to get me started in the SIP direction. I know the sequence of packets and ACKs to watch for however I am confused by some of the SIP terminology and could really use a sample code snippet.
